The Oyster Shack in Bigbury – a well known and deservingly popular seafood restaurant – book early to avoid disappointment
The Pilchard Inn – a 14th century pub on Burgh Island – great for a baguette and a pint
The Journey’s End at Ringmore – a half hour walk over the cliffs from Atlantic House. An extremely child friendly pub serving delicious home cooked food. High Chairs and games for kids provided. Has an enclosed garden for the summer and lovely open fires for the winter
The Old Chapel Inn at St Ann’s Chapel
Burgh Island Hotel – for a romantic 1930’s experience – not cheap but a fabulous occasion especially as you will be picked up in a Hotel landrover or Sea Tractor (black tie only!)
The Sloop Inn at Bantham – delicious food and very family friendly
For a light bite straight from the Beach there is the Venus Café on Bigbury Beach stocking paninis, organic children’s food, ice creams coffees etc. On Challaborough Beach there is a pub selling the usual everything with chips – serves costa coffee from 8.30 am!
